Frequently asked questions
Is Amar Sathi an Android APK?
The current public test is a Web/PWA Beta. On supported Android browsers, you can add it to the home screen so it behaves more like an app. A native APK is planned separately.
Will medicine reminders work if the browser is completely closed?
Not reliably in this web beta. Notifications are most dependable while the app/browser is active. A native Android build is needed for stronger background alarm behavior.
Does Amar Sathi send my data to a server?
The current beta stores the information you enter in local browser storage on your device. It does not currently use an Amar Sathi cloud account or backend database.
Why does location ask for permission?
Your browser protects location access. Amar Sathi requests location only when you choose the emergency location-SMS action. You can deny permission; the app can still prepare a message without location.
Does pressing SOS automatically contact emergency services?
No. The app provides a button that opens the phone call flow for 999. The user remains in control of placing the call.
Can I trust the medicine information as medical advice?
No. The medicine section is a personal tracking aid only. The medicine name, time and dose should come from a prescription, healthcare professional or trusted caregiver instructions.
How do I reset the app?
Open Settings in Amar Sathi and choose the option to clear local data. Browser data clearing can also remove locally saved information.
Can I give feedback?
Yes. Email jahangirtalukder07cse@gmail.com or call +880 1717-625691 for product feedback and technical help.
