Practical test checklist
Use this checklist before distributing the APK to family members or public testers.
1. Installation & first launch
Install on Android 8.0 or later. Confirm the app launches, the home screen is readable, and Bangla text renders correctly.
2. Permissions
Verify microphone, notification and location permission flows. Deny each permission once and confirm the app fails gracefully instead of crashing.
3. Voice Assistant
Test Bangla and English. Suggested commands: “রাত ৯টায় ওষুধ খেতে মনে করিয়ে দাও”, “কাল সকাল ৮টায় ডাক্তার দেখাতে মনে করিয়ে দাও”, “লোকেশন শেয়ার করো”, and “Remind me to take medicine at 9 PM.”
4. Reminder reliability
Create Daily, Weekdays and One-time reminders. Lock the phone and close the app. Verify notification delivery. Test Done, Snooze and Stop. Reboot the phone and verify scheduled reminders are restored.
5. Location & calling
Verify current location can be obtained and shared. Test family and doctor calling with safe test numbers. Confirm emergency calling requires explicit user confirmation.
6. Medicine & check-in
Add a medicine, mark it taken, reopen the app and confirm the state is retained. Test “I am OK” and any optional message flow.
7. Accessibility
Check large text, tap-target size, contrast and one-handed use. Ask at least one older tester to complete the core tasks without coaching and note any confusing wording.
8. AdMob & ad-safety
Use the debug APK for routine QA and confirm the bottom banner is explicitly marked as a Google TEST ad. Verify there is no banner on SOS/emergency, location-sharing, calling, medicine-action or reminder-action screens. Do not click live ads in the release APK during testing.
9. Regression
After every APK update, rerun voice, reminders, reboot restoration, location, calls, medicine, language switching and ad placement checks.
