Release note: The Google Play and App Store badges visible inside the concept artwork represent a planned future native release. The current public version is the Web/PWA Beta and is not yet available from those app stores.

Before you begin: Use Android Chrome, allow location only when you want to prepare a location-based emergency message, and test the family contact flow before depending on it.

First-time setup

Open or install the web app

Open Amar Sathi in Chrome. You can use the browser menu and choose Add to Home screen / Install app when the option is available. This creates an app-like icon on the phone.

Save a trusted family contact

Open পরিবার / Family. Enter the primary family member’s name and mobile number. Add the doctor’s name and number if desired, then press Save.

Add medicines

Open ওষুধ / Medicine. Enter a medicine name, time and dose. Press Add. When the medicine is taken, use Taken today.

Enable notifications

Open Reminders and press Enable notifications. The current web beta is most reliable while the web app is active. A future native Android version is planned for stronger background reminders.

How to use the main features

🆘 Emergency Help

The emergency screen includes three actions: call 999, call the saved primary family contact, or prepare an emergency SMS that can include the phone’s current location. Location permission is requested by the browser. The user remains in control of sending the SMS.

✅ “I am OK” check-in

Tap আমি ভালো আছি / I am OK to save the latest check-in on the device. If a primary family number is available, the app can open a prepared SMS so the user can reassure the family.

🩺 Doctor & Health

Save blood group and allergy notes and quickly call the saved doctor. This section is for convenient personal reference; it is not a medical record system and does not provide diagnosis or treatment advice.

🌐 Bangla / English

Use the language button in the app header to switch between Bangla and English.

What is stored?

In the current web beta, entered contacts, health notes, medicine entries and check-in information are stored locally in that browser using local device storage. Clearing browser data or using the app on a different browser/device may remove or not carry over that information.

Recommended family setup

Item	Recommendation
Primary family number	Use a number that is normally reachable and belongs to a trusted person.
Doctor number	Use the treating doctor or clinic contact that the family already trusts.
Emergency test	Test the family call and location permission before a real emergency.
Medicine list	Match the schedule with the prescription or caregiver’s confirmed instructions.

Emergency and health notice: Bangladesh Police lists 999 as the national emergency service. Amar Sathi does not guarantee delivery of calls or messages and does not replace emergency responders, doctors, pharmacists or caregivers.
